On July 3, 2004, The Messengers gave their OK for archive.org inclusion:
"Hi,
I'm writing on behalf of Santa Barbara, California's The Messengers. We'd love to be included in the archive and have a couple of live shows we'd like to add, including shows from the July 2004 Cayucos Music Festival.
Please feel free to include us on the archive and allow uploads of any and all live shows.
We are working on a new website and will be posting our policy for live show taping, which at this point for live audio is anything goes. We encourage all taping, posting and trading of our music, all the time!"
